Bronx native Parrish West was out of a job for months when he reached out to Building Skills New York (BSNY). “Building Skills is by far the best in connecting New Yorkers with great employers in the construction field,” he said.

Parrish, who heard about BSNY from a friend at the nonprofit agency Strive, was hired to work at a site in Manhattan within two weeks of his initial contact with the organization. As a seasoned construction professional with more than 30 years in the field, Parrish says “this has been the most positive experience I’ve had with a recruiter”.

In addition to securing a job, a Building Skills representative is in regular contact with Parrish to address any concerns and ensure ongoing success.
